How can I help?

Over thirty years ago I set up Fluent Marketing (and PR) to offer an outsourced marketing function. Over this time I have gathered a real wealth of knowledge and experience across a wide range of sectors. 

 

I am the rare breed of marketer who can undertake most of the marketing mix - which means you don't need to pay for several specialists. I don't conduct from the side-lines, I work with you. We plan together and then I take marketing off your desk to organise, write, design and deliver. You sign off and the campaigns work their magic.

 

Working with me means you have the benefits of a director but the can-do and hands-on of a marketing manager. I'd love to tell you more.

The engine room

...thinking, planning, coming up with the 'oh yes' ideas, tracking, assessing and keeping the momentum going. I love turning plans into reality - for me, the key is minimum fuss and maximum outputs.

Storytelling

...communicating with your audiences - taking them on a journey - making your messages dynamic, compelling and engaging. My job is to produce lots of fresh content for credibility, SEO and interest (and less about the 'likes').

Brand and voice

...protecting your organisation's brand and creating a consistent tone, representing your business perfectly. I write the words and create the designs to capture and elevate the essence of your business.  

Making it add up

... supporting sales, delivering new business, keeping it cost-effective and making strong commercial sense. I market your business as though it's my own - not wasting a penny and paying close attention.

Are we a good match?

I don't work with competing businesses which is why I don't have a clear sector specialism. I do have regular types of clients who can be categorised quite loosely (see below). I have also worked in the charity and education sectors.

I work with 8 - 10 businesses at a time, usually for 2-4 days per month (more if you need).

 

It's personal - I don't have a team or associates, but I do have a good network of specialists should we ever need them. I'm your sole contact so there's no dilution when it comes to understanding and translating your goals into actions.

I follow a common sense approach that informs the right kind of marketing for almost every business. I ask a lot of questions and take the time to understand what you are aiming for. Importantly, I also look at marketing from your audience's perspective - what are they looking for?

Fluent packages

Every client has its own individual monthly package of agreed outputs. It's better for you than charging by time - who wants to pay their freelancer for that hour the printer wouldn't work?​

The packages below describe the different ways I work with my clients - all retained at a set monthly fee, no surprises, and designed for a rewarding, long-lasting relationship.

New to marketing

This service is perfect for start-ups or businesses who want to take their marketing to the next level. We'll look at where you are now - against where you'd like to be. Our marketing plans will reflect your aims and serve you perfectly - within budget and to schedule. 

Plugging the gaps

For businesses with existing marketing resources - I can plug any gaps in terms of copywriting, producing fresh and exciting content, creating case studies, design, social media, press activity, mailers, newsletters - whatever you need. 

Your marketing manager

If I'm your marketing manager you can leave it all to me - I'll plan and produce exactly what's required with as much or as little input as you prefer. You'll be surprised how much can be achieved in a few days each month. I'm confident, capable and careful!
